Prologue
Once upon a time, there was a little girl. She was outgoing, daring, and bold. She was sunshine in this bleak world.
Too bad that she put her trust in the wrong boy. He watched her struggle; he watched her beg. He saw how they took her instead, letting the poor girl fall into hell on her own.
She wished for death, but it never came, for it had another fate for her instead.
With scales, claws, and a blackout heart, she learned to survive; rage was the only thing keeping her alive.
This girl trusted no one, for hearts could be swayed, and everyone lied as easily as they prayed.
But then one day she met a man, he seemed different, he seemed wise, someone she would put her trust in for the first time.
Too bad for her that this was no mere man. He was no sheep, but a cold-blooded killer, who only pretended to be what she needed.
He took her hand and sunk in his claws. He was even close enough to touch her heart.
Her demon was greedy, callous, and feared. A monster without a leash, and the one thing he now wanted was for her to be his.
For one, taste wasn’t enough, and he wasn’t going to stop until he owned her whole heart, and if to get it, he had to make rivers of blood.
Then everyone better be prepared to live in this violent realm.
Her demon was now on the loose.
God help anyone who stands in his way.
For they will learn that angels and demons are the worst enemies you could ever make.
